The Most Beautiful Butterflies In The World


1. Alpine Black Swallowtail (Papilio Maackii)

The Alpine Black Swallowtail is a butterfly of the family Papilionidae. It is found in Central Asia, Japan, China and South Korea.








2. Blue Pansy (Junonia Orithya)
        Junonia orithya is a nymphalid butterfly with many subspecies occurring from Africa, through southern and south-eastern Asia, and in Australia. In India its common English name is the blue pansy, but in southern Africa it is known as the eyed pansy as the name blue pansy refers to Junonia oenone. In Australia this butterfly is known as the blue argus.






3.  Crimson Rose ( Atrophaneura Hector)
     
      The crimson rose is a large swallowtail butterfly belonging to the genus Pachliopta of the red-bodied swallowtails.






4. European Peacock Butterfly (Inachis Io)

      The European Peacock (Aglais io), more commonly known simply as the Peacock butterfly, is a colourful butterfly, found in Europe and temperate Asia as far east as Japan.




5. Golden Birdwing (Troides Aeacus)

Golden Birdwing is a large butterfly belonging to the Swallowtail.






6.  Scarce Bamboo Page or Dido Longwing (Philaethria Dido)

The scarce bamboo page or dido longwing (Philaethria dido) is a butterfly in the family Nymphalidae. It is found in Central America and tropical South America, both east and west of the Andes, from Brazil and Ecuador northwards to Mexico. Strays can sometimes be found in the lower Rio Grande Valley in southern Texas.






7. Eastern Tiger Swallowtail(Papilio Glaucus)

The Eastern tiger swallowtail is a species of swallowtail butterfly native to eastern North America. It is one of the most familiar butterflies in the eastern United States, where it is common in many different habitats.





8.  Parnassius Apollo

 The Apollo or Mountain Apollo, is a butterfly of the Papilionidae family.They are found in some specific areas in Italy, Spain and France. The size and brightness of red eyespots on the wings of apollo butterflies also varies by the location they belong to. Apollo butterflies are also one of the most threatened species of butterflies in Europe Besides beauty the apollo butterflies are known for their defensive strategy. 






 9.  Clipper (Parthenos Sylvia)


The Clipper is a species of nymphalid butterfly found in South and South-East Asia, mostly in forested areas.





10. Karner Blue

The Karner blue is an endangered subspecies of small blue butterfly which was once found in significant numbers in the Miller Beach community of the Indiana Dunes National Park.
